FUSION Theatre Company Presents
by Aaron Posner
directed by Laurie Thomas

With a title that does not mince words, playwright Aaron Posner describes his play as a “sort of adaptation from THE SEAGULL by Anton Chekhov.” Like his muse Chekhov, Posner captures the wonderful exasperation and yearning of the new generation trying to find its way out of the traps of the old. His characters are of today and remind us as we lean in, meditate, eat flexitarian, do the paleo cave dance, and nurture our inner entrepreneur, we are as fragile and fatuous as our predecessors in our quest for the ultimate elixir, love. Mr. Posner’s play won the Charles MacArthur and Helen Hayes Awards for Outstanding New Play and will be directed by FUSION co-founder Laurie Thomas. “I can only imagine Chekhov’s delight were he to see his play so wisely reinvented.” — Steven Leigh Morris, LA Weekly
